One year later.
Global Pandemic,
Listening to the news this morning,
it is glaringly clear how underprepared we were for the Corona Virus.
I am not looking forward to filing taxes this year,
Much like many,
however after the last year of uncertainty,
what a better way to benchmark a questionable period then
Due Date April 15.

Here we are.
Shout out to the care takers,
The mothers and the nurses,
The families who have pivoted to become home school Geometry teachers,
I did not do well, my first go around,
let alone if I was the one responsible,
for childhood raring.
How little we have paid homage to those who quite often do the heavy lifting.
Everything's crooked
Sits on a skew
Can't keep up with the clean
Organization for you
brushstrokes begin
within
outward shine
Upward clogged colon
Running to loo,
lines pushed concaving
Closing in around
Dust bunnies kicking cozy corners
Too many piles
created waste conversion
True blue

shut it all down-
Larger pie did not thrive
this period of restart,
many died.
who has been living,
low grade exaltation
washed away,
flush it all down,
and start over anew,
Going back,
not an option,
when there was simple sadness,
welcoming in no direction,
sitting in yesterdays clothes.
