"...I just know that we need...Good strong people that are advocates for the World...
So it's time for Women to stand up and be pleasantly and intelligently vocal about the wonderful things they believe in, and believe enough to stand up and say something."
-Linda Diane McElhare 4/6/18
Eleanor Roosevelt has been famously noted saying,
"A woman is like a tea bag,
you never know how strong she is,
Until you put her in hot water."
I went down to our local Library in Downtown Los Angles, and checked out Eleanor Roosevelt's Autobiography.
Her catalogue alone is quite rich.
The more I read about this woman, the more I want to know...
Activist.
Outspoken.
Diplomat.
Advocate.
Fighter of human rights.
Recognizing a life after someone has passed is holding much space in my life right now.
What remains of spirit once a body has been laid to rest?
How can I honor my mothers Legacy?
Her life...
How can I remember?
A lot is going on this World.
I find we are living in a very particular time.
A time where,
honor,
integrity,
strength,
courage,
humanity,
Hold great value.
This is the way I was raised.
Anything else reaps so loud,
so blaring blatant, it is unmistakeable.
I am incredibly proud of the values I was taught...
